- Looks good..
-
- especially if it comes in 88key weighted and is portable which is what I was looking for initially..
- The i1 touch is not that good..
-
- It beats the i series on the fact that Computer simms are damned cheap and it has HD drive instead of the DD
- drives in the i series. DD diskettes are almost extinct nowadays. Maybe a bright spark may want to use iomega
- drives in the future as their 1 gig diskettes sure can store lots of sample ROM.
-
- The i1 has 6 accom tracks by the way.
-
- I saw the GM photos in Keyboard mag and it does look Casio-ish or Portasound-ish.
-
- It all boils down I suppose to how the quality of the sounds match the so far unrivalled Korg ones. If it beats the
- classic Universe or the Pan Flute patch; I'll give it a listen. If it has a good Piano sound; I'll give it 2 listens.
- However....there is no GM distributor in Singapore....!
-
- I am still a Korgie till proven otherwise.

- >The instrument I just described is the General Music WK4. Though I have NOT
- >spent a great deal of time listening to it, I'm impressed enough to wish
- >Korg would get on the ball and make something that competes with this
- >feature for feature.
- >Strangely enough, not much news or info on General Music in the industry.
- >Part of the problem is that they included those funky looking little
- >speakers and the instrument looks too much like a casio. It's hard to
- >believe something that looks like a toy could be so powerful, but this
- >instrument seems to have all the things I wish my Korg had. Does anyone
- >else know anything about this instrument? I understand they also make the
- >same thing in an 88 key digital piano cabinet.
- >I know this is a Korg user group, but let's face it, we've got to be able
- >to discuss the competition and this instrument seems to have the Korg I's
- >beat in every way imaginable. Any one else have any thoughts on this?
